So I chose luminscent chiffon color shimmer (which is a champagne color, pics are attached), and am letting them chose their own style by Jim Hjelm, Alvina Valenta, or Lazaro. The attached pics are just 1 style that’s available.
For shoes, I want to let them pick their own, but just give them a color. I’m having a hard time on deciding what color to tell them.
I was thinking of just telling them any metallic strappy heels (can be gold, silver, pewter, platinum, etc) b.c that provides a ton of options, but some people have said that will blook bad in pictures since the dresses are all different, and all short, and that since the shoes would be metallic, the girls would have all different color jewelry too (which was always fine by me). Do you think this is too uncoordinated?
Our other wedding colors are cream and plum ( both which are accents), I think plum would be too hard to find and also very harsh with the gentleness of the dresses.
Any thoughts on what color for shoes to match?

I would find a paint chip that matched the underlying tone of the dress-silver, gold, bronze etc.
Send one to each of the bridesmaids and let them choose their own shoe in that color.
You will note that in your first picture the woman is wearing strappy sandals that match the dress. The focus is on her and not her feet as opposed to this pic where the maids are wearing dark shoes- your eye goes immediately to their feet.

I agree with julies1949. I think a uniformed shoe color in either silver, gold, or champagne would be best for a champagne colored dress.

I think silver, gray or black shoes would look nice!

I think a really strappy gold shoe with some beautiful gold jewelry would look stunning! The dress is too light to wear a black shoe (because the shoe would really stand out in my opinion). Here’s what I think would look nice…

My girlfriend who is getting married in April is doing it backward from yours: cornflower (like a robin’s egg blue) with champaign shoes. It really does pair well (I was REALLY hesistant at first, but my shoes just came the other day. The two look really well together). I think the blue shoes will give your girls a little “pop” than if you just put them in a gold shoe… too much of the same tone, ya know? She gave us two swatches and told us to pick a color in between the two swatches. Maybe that will help you to come off as less controlling to your girls – they have the option of shade, but you get to tell them what color.
also, what are your wedding colors? Can you tie one of them into the shoes?

OMG, this is the exact dress and color I picked yesterday and I am plannng on either deep red shoes or another completely contrasting color because I hate matchy-matchy! I also loved the fabric color in that collection called Lavender (although to me it looks more like a deeper lilac color), so I might try to find shoes in that color.

nude/gold. I agree with a PP that dark shoes would really draw focus agree from the dress and it also clashes.
