Hey everyone!  I'm just under a year away from the big day so I haven't really put much thought into accessories.  Recently, I have noticed more and more brides wearing colored shoes.  How many bees have or will be wearing shoes with color versus white/ivory during the actual ceremony?

I am trying to stay away from the latest trends (dying crinoline, colored shoes, etc) even though I do think that they are FAB now and look great on brides, I'm just worried about those type of things going out of style and me regretting my decision to follow the trend. With that said, I found a beautiful pair of 5 " white heels that are amazingly comfortable! I plan to dance the night away in them!

I always wanted to wear colored shoes because I don't wear white shoes and would love to rewear my bridal shoes on a date night or a special night in...

I'm a shoe girl 365 days a year so I will definately be going with color :) I honestly wouldn't mind splurging for the shoes and saving on the dress :) HEHE

Definitely wearing shoes with color, though I guess most would consider me non-traditional--I have a sapphire engagement ring and can't wait to wear my purple shoes. Purple's my favorite color, so the best part of this all is that I can wear my wedding shoes again and again and again.

Well, I wore white sandals! Flat, resort sandals from Neiman Marcus.

They're definitely not traditional wedding shoes, but they're white leather and I love wearing them now! So comfy and cute.

I wore my ivory dance shoes. I rewear them all the time! (But white is pretty popular in the dance shoe world.)

I love the look of brightly colored shoes peeking out from underneath the white dress. I haven't found my shoes yet, but I'll be looking for color!

COLOR COLOR COLOR! I think it is super cute and so much fun! If you havea  fuller dress, it's not like anyone will really know anyway. It's your little secret!

I know its a trend, but its fun!!!  AND, if you have a long dress, MOST of the time you wont be able to see your shoes so its not like the GIANT poofy sleeves of the 80s where you will look back at photos and cringe. Its a beautiful day full of love and celebration - have fun!!

I am dying my shoes apple green :) I am normally pretty casual and kind of reserved and I want a very classic feminine look but I said, what the heck I am having bright green shoes!

I think there is something special about a colored shoe on a bride - or even a white shoe with some kind of embellishment.

Definitely color. So far I LOVE these... but I am still looking for the perfect flower patterned round toe flapper style shoes!

Hi!  So I was originally going to go with color shoes (see my above post) but I picked out my dress last weekend and I think the cut of the dress is too narrow for them - in other words - my shoes would peek out with every step.  I wanted color shoes that would be a secret until I "revealed" them by lifting up my dress, but I think if bright shoes poke out with every step it will be distracting! So it looks like traditional shoes for me!

I LOVE how colored shoes looks int he photos poking out from the dress. We make our grand entrance as Mr. & Mrs. from the top of the stairs while all will be seated at their tables....I'm hoping some will see my fantastic purple heels poke out as I lift my dress a bit walking down the steps.

Honestly, I love both looks! I'll be wearing flats since heels make me feel stupid, but I think a sequiny gold flat is just as awesome as a pink patent one, which is just as awesome as classic white. Really, it depends on how comfortable you are with being different!

I wore bright red stillettos and LOVED them. They also go well with a few of the honeymoon...umm I guess you could call them outfits... :)

A pop of color is so unexpected and fun! Plus, you can wear them again.

Beige and gold high heeled sandals. I'm afraid like FutureDrBraun that the colored shoe trend will look dated after awhile in photos, though some of the photos of brides in their bright shoes make me swoon...
