The lowest price dress there is prob around 1500, they definitely have 2000 dresses, the selection is just smaller

If you watch Say Yes to the Dress you can see that bride’s go there with $2000 budgets and walk away with a dress.  I think you can probably find something for that.  But know, you’re paying for the experience and it is possible to get just as nice a dress if not nicer elsewhere for probably less lol.  Just my opinion though!  If you go, have fun!

When I went they didn’t have much under 2000- hardly any ball gowns and nothing with lace.  I tried on about 4 dresses and gave up. Everything I saw in the showroom was so beautiful but wayyyy over my budget.

There are DEFINITELY dresses under 5K at Kleinfeld. I spent way under that for my dress. I guess it depends what you’re looking for, though. If you want some huge elaborate dress with beading and all kinds of bells and whistles, they obviously aren’t going to have anything to fit your budget because those dresses tend to cost more.

All that being said, I used to work in retail on commission and I kind of hate when people go to a place with no intention of buying anything and waste the sales staff’s time. So I beg you to seriously think about whether you are willing to purchase a dress if you find one before wasting an hour and a half of someone’s time.

On one of the episodes, I’m pretty sure they said their dresses start at around $1,100 and go on up. But of course, lace/beading/ball gowns are more expensive but that’s true for anywhere.

I bought my dress at Kleinfields.  The gowns start at $1,500. Look on their website where you can do gown searching by price (i think the first level is $1,500 to $3,000). When you go there just be honest with them about your budget and they will stick to it.

If you have time when in NYC and don’t mind doing some rack hunting, check out bridal garden.  It’s about a block away from Kleinfelds and they have donated designer dresses for great prices. All the profits go to charity.  http://www.bridalgarden.org/  You just have to be ok with going through the racks yourself and looking for a diamond in the rough.
