This is a little difficult to phrase, so bear with me:
Is it unethical to shop around for your wedding dress? I think I found “the one” while I was visiting my parents this weekend. However, I want to make some alterations & accessorize, and I’m not 100% confident that the boutique could carry my vision out. (Side note: I am terrible at accessorizing).
There’s a local boutique close to me that I really adore, and they may be willing to order the dress for me to try on. I love their accessories, and when I talked to my consultant about my vision to add a giant bow, she was confident that it would be no problem.
However, I feel a little weird about all of this… I fear that my Local Boutique will charge much more for it, which would be a deal-breaker. And if they don’t, and I get it there, then I feel kinda bad that the Parents Boutique (where I found the dress) helped me find it and then I didn’t give them my business…
I also have 2 more appointments at different places this weekend. Initially I was hoping to find something that was just like the dress (but a little more “special” if that makes sense), but I can’t stop thinking about this darn dress!
Does anyone have any advice? I would love to buy it from Parents Retailer and then bring it to Local Retailer to accessorize but I doubt they would do that.
Ugh, this is what I get for being scared to pull the trigger!!!
Thanks in advance for any perspective!
