To be honest I'm not a fan of the gloves. My eye goes straight to the gloves instead of your dress. It's a look that's a little dated I think. If you really love them then of course wear them....
I do think they'd look better if you wore a style that just went over your hands instead of up the arm. Just wanted to add that.
To be totally honest? I'm not a fan of these gloves.
I think you could totally pull gloves off, but would it be possible to find perhaps a lacy pair or one made of a more substantial fabric? These kind of just look like white tights to me. Check out Etsy or some antique stores; you have plenty of time to track down some beautiful ones before 2013!
As for the short arms thing, I don't even think your arms look short. I think you could totally pull off gloves. Oh, and I don't even see a farmer's tan or a lack of toning, so stop judging yourself! lol;)
I honestly don't like how it looks, it made me instantly think of Cinderalla or any other Disney princess. If you really want gloves, then finding a different style might be an option. What matters is what YOU think though...
@blingybride: See, the whole princess-y look is kinda what I'm going for. Kinda whimsical fairytale. However it's in the fall, that's why I was thinking a long pair of gloves would be nice, because they would add some warmth to my arms!
The pics really don't do them justice. They're so sparkly at the V on the hand! And they're kind of a soft white color, which I thought would complement my dress. Perhaps adding a little applique-type lace at the top (near the elbow) would make them look a little classier?
I would ditch them and wear a bracelet, however, it sounds like you really like them and want to wear them so just do it. Sounds like you think they look great and go with your theme so do what makes you feel happy!
I'm generally not a fan of gloves but if you love them, that's all that matters. I think they look great as is. What do you like?
Just an idea if you are concerned about gloves making your arms look short
Have you thought adding a cloak or capelet? It looks very fairytale, very romantic and could be puled off for a November wedding. It prevents any chill outdoors if a cloak, if a caplet it could be worn indoors. It's also dramatic.
@woodwindwaker- Then it sounds like it's perfect. BTW, I don't think your arms look short at all. I do like capelet idea as well even more Princessy and warm. :)
They don't look bad, but they seem a bit dated, and don't really seem to go with your dress (which is beautiful, by the way). I would ditch them and pick a bracelet instead.

I really like the look of the fingerless gloves, but my arms are short. With this length, do my arms look "chopped in half"?? Would over the elbow be better? Or should I just ditch them altogether and wear a bracelet (which I don't really want to do! I think I'm one of the few brides who could pull off the gloves - that is, if they look okay.)
Please ignore my not-yet-toned, famer's tanned upper arms. :-/ I'll take care of those!
