    yes, they should definitely be the same length : (7 votes)

    no, it would be cute since the MOH should be distinguished from the others in a more elegant way : (21 votes)

    it really just depends on the type of dresses, could look bad, could look good : (20 votes)

    I really don't know how I feel about this...but my MOH still has not ordered a dress for various circumstances, and she probably wouldn't be able to get hers in on time.  I found a dress in the same color as the other girls for sale in classifieds but it is long and theirs are short.  I really love the dress though.  It would look great on her.

    But would it look weird for my bm's to be in short dresses and my moh to be in a long one?

    I would have to see them together to be sure, but I wouldn't do it. Why don't you get the dress and have it altered to be the same length as the others.

    that is actually what i am doing. My MOH will be in a long dress and my 3 other BMs will be in knee-length dresses. I like the fact that she will be different than the others. I say go for it!

    I think it would look fine, but I'm totally not a fan of matchy-matchy bridesmaids, so I may be biased! Smile

    It does depend on what they look like, but in general, it could certainly look just fine.

    As long as the dress you found is in the same material too, I think it would work out.

    For my bff's wedding we all wore LBD's and her sister, the MOH, wore a long black dress. It looked nice. As long as the two dresses look good together, I think it's a good idea!

    GO here to see a pick of what the dresses would look like together.  These aren't the exact look but a general idea.  Thanks!

    im not a fan of different length dresses - i think it looks like they are going to two different weddings. buuuuut - that said, if they are similar enough dresses, and its what you HAVE to do, then go for it.

    i would suggest getting the MOH to have the bottom trimmed off to match the length of the other BMs

    My sister is very picky of the dress and mad we picked long dresses....so i might make her maid of honor just so she can have a dress in a shorter style.....and i think i will pick the complementing shade as well, so that it won't look so funny.......sigh...:

    @tessa9876:Hello,

    That is actually what I am doing.  My sister who is my MOH will be wearing long and my other 4 BM's will be wearing (different) tea length dresses.  I think it will look fine.

    Good luck!
