YESSS! The minute you said 'BCBG" dress, I KNEW it was that one! I just love that dress. It's adorable. I say rock a cute blusher, bird cage or shoulder length number. Keep it short and sweet, just like your dress! **PS: I secretely reallly, reallly, reallly wanted a short dress for our wedding. Way to go--you're going to look amazing
Even better...I got it on ebay! Has anyone seen an ivory veil? The dress is really more creamy colored and I don't want too much contrast in pictures. Now to work on the grooms attire....
I'm hoping that commenting on this will bump this thread up so that more bee's see it during the post-a-thon. I could really use the advice!
I'm a short dress bride, and am wearing a birdcage veil very similar to the second pic @Iblewthebudget posted.
I would also suggest looking at hair flowers or pretty headbands if you didn't want to commit to a veil.
What style will your hair be in?
Since I have shoulder length hair and a strapless dress, I'm leaning towards a french twist or doing my hair half up and having curled tendrils in the front. I I do the later I could get this awesome bridal hair clip I found at Michael's. Hello 50%off coupon!
I would say any veil shoulder-length or shorter should work with your dress - I know how you feel and am currently leaning towards no veil (after being set on a birdcage veil for years).
A fascinator would look great with it too though (still very bridal, but less traditional).
I'm a short dress bride and I'm thinking somewhere between elbow and shoulder length. A little cage veil would look fab with that dress!
I love that dress I ordered a knock off from china of the same dress for $99!
I'm not wearing a veil, I think if i HAD to wear something i would do a headband or something.
I'm wearing a short dress and probably no veil. I wanted a birdcage but found it didn't suit my face or my dress. But with your dress I think both birdcage and bubble would work well.
I actually also think that a drop veil long and sheer would look nice. That's something I considered but decided I didn't want to bother with.
The thing that's going to make you feel like a bride is that you're getting married! :)

Originally we thought we would have a home ceremony and reception but after researching all the elements needed to make it a success we decided that wasn't right for us. May is a busy month for us....We live in California, the wedding is in Dallas, siblings graduations, grandma's 100th birthday AND we are moving to Ann Arbor for grad school. With so much going on, we decided that we wanted something to take the pressure off. So we decided to do a courthouse ceremony with a judge we really like and have our reception at a restaurant we love.
I felt that my long dress would feel out of place in a courthouse ceremony & Texas summer is hot...so I became a short dress bride! I found a BCBG Maxazaria dress I love, but now I don't know if I can wear a veil. I haven't found any that would look good with my dress. Any other short dress brides not wearing a veil? I know I'll be in white (well technically ivory) but I want to look like a bride!
