My dress wasn’t as short as yours is going to be but I wore a tea length dress.

I am wearing a long dress to our wedding.  (Jim Hjelm 8002) But I fell in LOVEEEEE with a Dolly Couture dress that I just have to have.  So I’m wearing the Dolly dress to our rehearsal dinner, and again to our receptions that we are having in our hometowns.  We are having a destination wedding in Vermont, so our little home reception is going to be cute and casual!

I didn’t end up with a short dress, but I LOVE this one.

And, this one.

My short dress is in the process of coming to life at the moment. I fell in love w/ a David’s Bridal dress, but I wanted something a little more fun and figure flattering for the reception so my seamstress is making the pick up skirt detachable and making a knee length skirt to wear after (similar to the dress I’ve doodled on). I’m so excited about the knee length skirt, I think they’re so sweet and fun but can still be classy. Stay strong and rock that dress!

I’m going short dress all the way, with this Alfred Angelo (that I take every opportunity to post). I love seeing all the short dresses, especially the polka-dotted ones! SO much fun.

Here are a few other threads on short dresses:

Where oh where to find a short white cocktail dress??

Any SHORT DRESS BRIDES out there?? (please include pictures)

Personally I knew from the get go that I would be wearing a short dress, I’m just more comfortable in them than a floor length or ballgown.

I haven’t bought my dress yet as I am still in the decision making process, but Dolly Couture & Whirling Turban have definitely caught my eye a few times.

Lately I have been oogling this lovely from Etsy seller audreyandgrace .

I <3 short dresses.

I’m wearing a tea length dress – had a fitting on Saturday so she’s not quite right yet – imagine her with a nice round full skirt and a good press! Love her so bad!
