Splodge2003:  Oh I love it! I looked into some tea-length dresses at the beginning of my dress search, but I just couldn’t find anything that wowed me within my budget. Wish I’d known about that website earlier! You should definitely rock it, especially with some red heels like you’re planning! Would you wear your hair up like that also? Are you planning to include any other vintage elements/styles in your wedding?

Love it! I’m wearing a tea-length dress with blue shoes.

I like it sans bolero, personally.  If that’s your vision, then go for it!! But don’t think  you have to go for a short dress just because you’re petite… I’m your height and found that long dresses looked great on me!

Splodge2003:  I went with a ballgown with a fitted bodice, but I haven’t had my wedding yet, so can’t answer your second question 🙂

I tried on a couple of tea length dresses and maybe the proportions were just off (ie they didn’t fit) but they made me look shorter because of where they cut on the leg.  But with any of this, I think it’s all about proportions – both your own, and those of the dress – that determines how something looks on you.

Splodge2003:  I haven’t had my final fitting yet, so they’re taking a couple inches off the bottom now, but here it is when I first tried it on!

My best friend is 4’10” and she will be rocking the heck out of a tea length custom Dolly Couture wedding gown!

I think that tea length gowns with the nipped in waist and the full skirt are so glamorous and very Betty Draper-esque.

I love tea- length wedding dresses. This one, however, not so much. The beading just isn’t my style, personally.

    cml:  LOVE this one.
