Hello all! So my wedding date with SO isn’t for another few years, but I still like to dream and plan what mine could someday be like. That being said, I have horrible vision and cannot see without them at all, and it goes without saying I will be rocking glasses on any big day, be it wedding or the several other weddings that I have to be in as a MOH and bridesmaid. Which brings me to my next topic. I have a pixie cut, have had for several years, but also feel at some times wearing my glasses makes the whole look just odd. So now I’m torn between growing it out a bit (esp for sister’s wedding in May) or just sucking it up and deal with it and learning to like myself how I am, haha. Anyways I’m indecisive about the whole thing, and could use some Bee input. Endless google searching aside, including OBB & WB, I could only find a few examples:
These are mine ^ Mostly just want to be reassured they’ll look okay for formal events, since I cannot see without them and it’s rude of people to ask if I’m going to be wearing them for a special event. To me, that’s like asking a person in their wheelchair to not use their wheelchair -____- Not sure what I want to do with my hair either, it’s thick, coarse, and wavy and while keeping it short is certainly easy, part of me longs for a change, too! Opinions are welcome!

I would grow it out a teeny bit just so you could do more with it. Are contacts an option? I’m sorry if t hats rude, but just wondering because I personally wear both.

@sprinkledwithpixiedust: Since you have lots of time, why not try growing it out to see what you like? You can always cut it off if it turns out you don’t like the look of it.
And you rock those glasses! Definitely do not feel like you need to get contacts for one day. 🙂

@sprinkledwithpixiedust: If short hair is your look, I think you should rock it!
As for glasses, I’ve been in several weddings and I always wear mine. I also plan on wearing them next year for my wedding.
I love the 2nd pic you posted of the bride with the feather and birdcage veil…so pretty!

@sprinkledwithpixiedust: My go-to hairstyle is pretty much the same as yours, and I’ve decided to try to grow it our for my wedding (in August of next year). My logic is this: if I grow it out I have more options when it comes to hair trials, but if I don’t like my hair trials, I can always cut it short and rock the pixie.
But, if you’re not feeling okay with growing it out, I would just rock the pixie! I think it looks beautiful in those photos that you posted where the bride has an oversized hair piece!

@sprinkledwithpixiedust: Everyone I know who wears glasses, wore contacts for their wedding or a wedding they are in. I was honestly shocked because these girls and guys never wear contacts. Is that something you will consider? (My eyes were twice as bad as the E, a -8.75 contact perscription, I get what you mean about being blind). If not, I say rock the glasses, but know your photos will look dated. Your glasses are cute and trendy, which means dated (which means you will be married a long time– yay!)
As far as your hair- your hair is your hair. Even chin length hair can do a modified updo, but I have seen some awesome short hair brides.

I have very similar glases 🙂 I love that you’re thinking of doing short hair for the wedding! Rock it!
I wanted to do short hair, but my mother talked me into growing my hair for the wedding as my short hair (much like you in your last picture) looked “too severe” with my dress.
As soon as the wedding’s over, I’m cutting my hair.

I’m thinking more of something like the bride’s hair with the birdcage and veil, since mine is naturally coarse and thick and wavy there could be more curls to play with, the whole growing out process is just a major pain/hassle, but good thing I have 7 months! :3

I say rock it! 🙂
I will be a short haired bride with bold glasses. I found a cute headband that I am adding a bird cage to. I don’t see much point in growing out your hair just for a wedding if it isn’t you. Some pictures I may go glassesless (?) to show off the make up.
For a reference my hair is basically like this but a bit shorter https://www.google.ca/search?q=domino+keira+knightley&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=luRPUsKiOoetigKEh4HgDw&sqi=2&ved=0CCoQsAQ&biw=1040&bih=892&dpr=1#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=vTU4o2tlo2NMkM%3A%3BVlGUBqQnizHsQM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252F1.bp.blogspot.com%252F-XbemOrOQtwY%252FULcAW4kMi2I%252FAAAAAAAAACA%252FnTQ6cnkdAj4%252Fs400%252Fkeira%252Bknightley%252Bdomino%252Bhairstyle%252B(2).jpeg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fpopularhairstylee.blogspot.com%252F2012%252F11%252Fshort-hair-keira-knightley-domino-hair.html%3B300%3B400

Hey, that’s me in the third pic! If you feel like you with short hair and glasses then go with that. Glasses on the wedding is really not a big deal. And personally I think pixie cuts with dark frames like yours is a super cute look. I always envy ladies who have the style and personality to pull off that look.
You did mention you were interested in growing your hair out, though. That would be fine, too! Check out Naturally Curly for ways to style any length of curly or wavy hair. They’re a gold mine for info and support.

- Wedding: September 2014 - Banff, Alberta
I will be wearing my glasses and they look similar to yours. I might buy a new pair if I see something I like for a good price but otherwise I am sticking to my regular pair. I will have really long hair by then and I want to do fun stuff with it for the wedding and then chop it all off after.
Your glasses will look great. Your hair will look great short. Would also look great if you grew it out. It’s just hair it doesn’t change YOU.

I am doing a new trend!! Inverted Bob with glasses for my wedding day! I was going to grow it out for the wedding but i got sick of long hair so i said f#$@* it and chopped it of to inverted bob but not stacked in the back and sides have some layers but it soo much better and dyed my hair dark brown which is my normal color and i will be having some red streak in the front on my side bangs. I realize all those brides in the magazine is all long hair and no glasses. Get real. some of us can’t wear contacts and i feel my glasses make me who I am. So do what you want to do for your wedding! Your future husband will still think your beautiful either way! Good luck!

@sprinkledwithpixiedust: Not many people have pixie cut. Be you rock in it! It shows your facial features. I would go with pixie cut and maybe some hightlights. Have fun with it. Your glasses are just fine. I wouldn’t worry about it. Just my opinion.
