I’ve been trying to decide what I want to do for wedding hair. I’m not going with a veil. I do have rather short hair, so I’m stumped on what my options are. I do have a year in which to grow out my hair if need be….but I like it a bit shorter.
Right now it’s growing out from a pixie, and is just over chin length. I do have blunt slanted bangs right now. I would prefer an updo with some sort of hair accessory – pin? comb? I’m not sure what would even work! It would be fantastic if I could do it myself as well….
Does anyone have any ideas or d’ya think it’d be best to just keep growing it out, and chop it all back off after the wedding? Hair extensions are not an option.
Please share some pictures! 🙂

Have you tried searching short hairstyles on pinterest? They have some pretty cool ideas.
They also have some photos of brides rocking the pixie cut.
Not sure if I’m hitting the right note for you, but there’s plenty of pictures to look at. Offbeat Bride might have some other examples.

My hair was around chin length at our wedding. Since I wanted a more laid-back look, I just curled it a bit and called it a day. I don’t have any really good photos of it so here’s one of my daddy and me just because I like it.
I also rocked even shorter hair at one of our at-home receptions:
Also, this bee has the best and cutest short hair.

plum_pudding: Thanks. Those are a bit short for me though. I don’t want to go back pixie, but a slanted bob would be what I’d go back to.
flying_hearts: Your hair is so cute!!! And thanks for the link – that’s what I’d try to do! It’s good to know that it is DIY-able.

A lot of these are really cute!
I like the way hairpieces are integrated in some of these, too: http://www.short-haircut.com/latest-short-bridal-hairstyles.html
