Last year, I shaved my head for Beautiful Lengths (its like Locks of Love, but for women with breast cancer). I admit I timed "the shave" for the last year I was in grad school, so it really "didn't matter" what I looked like - if it sucked, I could have worn a hat for the next few months.....BUT, I LOVED the result, and I got so many compliments from random strangers about my semi-shaved head! I am so going to do it again after the big day (as long as my hair is at least 8" long for the donation). I encourage everyone to donate their hair if possible!!

I dont have any real pics of me, but I have a couple inspiration pictures for my PWC.
@hisbunny- any length- chin, shoulder, pixie... right now I'm just getting ideas, it's 1/2 down my back and I'm so looking forward to chopping it after the honeymoon.
@Rockhugger- AMAZING. You did such a great thing! I am donating to Locks of Love or the Pantene thing in honor of my cousin who passed away from brain cancer in 2003.
@zippylef- I LOVE that first photo, I don't know if I have the face shape to go funky and cute like that! If you do then you have to post pics!!
i love tina fey's shoulder-length wavy hair in Date Night.
even though i want to chop off my hair NOW, but i'll wait until a few months later because i am finally good at using hot iron curler (i have straight hair), so i want to enjoy long wavy hair for a few months before i go short.
@tingting yeah I did like her cut. See my hair is super long and wavy so I want something short, easy to dry and straighten during the winter months!
I did a PWC to donate for Beautiful Lengths too. The advice I have: mkae sure you find someone comfortable cutting your hair off because the lady I went to didn't cut as short as I wanted, so I didn't get the cut I wanted. I'm just shy of what I need to donate and I'm pissed. I grew my hair long just to donate it.
I had about 4" chopped off on our honeymoon! I couldn't wait! I booked an appointment first thing when we got to the resort. It was awesome.

@TheFutureMcBride- My stylist thankfully has no problem chopping my hair, she knows it has been bothering me for over a year!

those inspiration pics are stellar, may have to save them...
I haven't had short hair for a few years now, but sometimes I really miss it! I've been bald, through pixie cuts to bobs & for the most part it was awesome (except on lazy days when I didn't 'do' my hair, then it looked like butt hole). OP if you are still looking for inspiration feel free to PM me -- I don't have any pics on this computer but have lots @ home.
The big thing is picking something that suits your face shape & personality; with confidence you can pretty well pull anything off.
I had pretty long hair....and I did two PWC! I loved getting a short layered bob, so light and cool.

I haven't decided if I'll chop mine off afterwards. I might do something crazy like color it instead.
@Soon2beeMrsM: I don't have pictures as it's only been three weeks. Also, I don't have a stylist, so I had to keep telling the woman "no, I want it shorter."
@TheFutureMcBride- Don't you hate it when you go to a new stylist and they don't do what you want! I'm so glad I found someone who does what I ask!
Any other short(er) haired bees that can post pictures or inspiration pictures if you don't have real ones?

Hi Bees, we've all seen the PWC that many post and I wanted more short haired gal photos to look at! If you have short hair please post a pic, I'm undecided as to what my PWC will be and I need to see short hair on real everyday people, not hair models. So come on bees show me the goods! Thanks!!
