I am a short hair bride! :-)
I'm wearing the veil from my aviator pic for the ceremony, and a flower sort of like yours for the reception. (I'll wear it on the side where O part my hair.) My hair is a bit shorter now than it was in that photo - much like the Selma pic you posted.
You will be a beautiful bride!
I'm a short haired bride- or, at least, was? Family pressure and my own complete indecision has led my hair to actually hit my jaw bone! Oh no! I think you'll make a great short haired bride- love the flower! Personally, I've been leaning towards finger waves (very 1920's flapper hair), but can't find someone in my area who is competent in them with my thin, fine white girl hair (there are some African-American hair salons which said they could do it, but then they met my hair and changed to "hell-to-the-no!"

@rabbit I LOVE the finger waves. I was seriously considering that, but it didn't fit the "vibe" of anything else I was doing. You should find a way to do it so I can live vicariously through you. :-)

@Adeline-I heart your haircut! I've been wanting to chop all my hair off forever, you might have just given me the cajones to go do it!
@Emshaw it is SO liberating!! I used to have pretty long hair. I chopped it all off on a whim while I was living in Japan and never looked back. I say go for it! Besides - it's just hair. It grows back. :-) Here's a picture of the "real" me - my hair is naturally really curly too!

That's amazing! My hair is just a bit shorter than yours in the picture above. I'm totally in the same mind set as you, it's just hair! I've never been overlly attached to my hair or a certain hairstyle. I'm going to make an appointment to go in this weekend and take the plunge, *excited squeeeal*!
Don't forget to send pictures! It'll be great. I'd say good luck, but you won't need it.

I love the fingerwaves idea, bit am too afraid of not looking like myself. It took a while to adjust to the shorter hair after having it long all my life, but i LOVE it. I feel alternately sassy, glamorous, fun, grown up....
This is the FH and I in the last pic of us with hair and one of the first pictures of us sans hair.... (He was starting chemo the following week.)

I used to have a pixie! I know exactly what you mean by it being liberating. My hair was to my butt when I chopped it all off. I got a Mia Farrow pixie. Super, super short. I LOVED it. I have really thick, curly hair and it was amazing how light my head felt.
Here's what it looked like, this was after it grew out a bit.
@libra - You guys both look great with your new haircuts! I'm sorry to hear the reason why you did it though... Hope everything is ok with him.

I miss my pixie, too. I gained a ton of weight and now my face is too round to look good with a pixie. Sigh.

Ooh, I actually found one of the only short hair photos of me that exists. This is after my pixie had grown out for a few months.
Eeek, my hair isn't too short, it's much shorter in the back than the front and it's fairly curly. Sigh, I've wanted to chop my hair off for a pixie cut for so long! I'm scared to take that dive though, I never thought I'd have the right face for it or something. I think when I get preggers down the line I'll just chop it all off! Haha

Thanks, ladies. He's doing really well right now. He'll finish treatment 2 days before the wedding, so it will be a HUGE celebration.
I think we should all come back and post pics after our weddings to inspire the future short hair bridas out there!
Hey, all you adorable pixie haired brides hat have naturall curly hair. Mine is curly (although fine) and looks a lot like SweetAdeline's did before the chop. I've been contemplating pixie for a long time now, but am afraid of how my hair would react to it. Do you have chemical straightens, or do you flat iron every day?!
@soychailatte - I straighten my hair with a 1 inch Chi straightener. It works quickly and makes my hair super soft. It also keeps it's shape even when it's humid out, which is a miracle. I wash my hair every 2-3 days since it's not very greasy and it usually looks better the second day anyway. It takes me about 20 minutes to straighten my hair when I do it, but that's just because it's REALLY curly.
I have a pixie and I love how it looks with my dress. I was attempting to grow it out for the first few months of my engagement and then I said F it. I love my short hair. Pic of me below and my inspiration headpiece that I'm going to attempt to make.

Here's a picture of the hairpiece I settled on and my hair from my bridal shower. I just got it cut last week so by the wedding it should be about that length again. I'll have it cleaned up in the back a few days before, but that's essentially what it'll look like for the wedding. Can't believe we're 30 days out!!

Any brides with short hair? I don't mean shoulder length hair - I mean really short hair! Pixie cut girls! What are you doing with it for the wedding? Show me pictures, ladies!
Don't mind my stupid makeup-less face. I can't be arsed. Also, my hair is actually dark brown and is now back to my natural color. I think I'm going to wear the flower on the other side, a la picture number 2 (the one with the pink sweater). Please ignore the crazy maniac behind me. I'm thinking about styling it like selma blair below.
