I would be glad to send you picture ideas in your inbox.  I have chin-length or shorter hair too and have been getting ideas for months by pulling photos off the net.  A good place to start is by looking up celebrities that have short hair and a style you like (e.g. Charlize Theron, Ashley Judd, Katie Holmes).

Also, I'm not doing any jewels, headbands, feathers in my hair because I'm going to do dramatic jewelry, but Etsy has great feather headpieces (often called fascinators in brit talk) and there are headbands or rhinestone bobby pins that you could use to pull back your hair all over the net.  A real flower or fake flower behind the ear or to pull one side back are all options too.
