I’m frantically growing my hair out now – it’s driving me crazy.  I’m thinking my bob will get REALLY short after the wedding 🙂

@ralessio:  i love those first 3 pics.  my hair is normally like the 3rd pic but i grew it just a bit longer and fuller so that my fascinator and veil would hold in place.  i tried on a headband like the 1st pic (but in white) and my dh loved it on me.  i was so tempted but went with the birdcage.

@ralessio:  I go back and forth, I chop all my hair off, leave it for a few years and then grow it out, keep it long for a year and then chop it.  I want to grow it, I want my hair to be up, it’s just at the beyond annoying stage of the grow out process right now where I usually give up.

@ralessio:  have you considered a red birdcage?  they are pretty.  i made my veil and it was sooo easy.  maybe you can find red russian netting at your local fabric store.  there are tutorials on youtube.  if not, there’s a lot of red fascinators and veils on etsy and ebay.

@ralessio: pretty! how do you think Charleze Theoron gets her hair like that? maybe finger waves? I have a bob so I need ways to dress it up for formal events.

@ralessio:  I know what you mean. I’ve tried to do it myself – with a 1″ flat iron, and also with a 1″ clamp curling iron, and it didn’t look very good. maybe I’ll get better with practice!

I thought about buying one of those wave irons, but every time I’ve tried them in the past, they make my hair look really 80’s instead of vintage.  :/

@ralessio:  I’m really bad at it. so bad that I’ll only attempt it when I’m travelling — because I will only bring one tool. at home I go ahead and grab my curling iron.

that photo you posted is super cute! I’ll have to try that with my curling iron 🙂
