I would say do some pictures with it on and some without it on. this way you get the best of both worlds. I agree that it looks awkward just pulled back. Beautiful dress by the way!

I agree it looks funky pulled behind. So do I keep it on for the pictures before the wedding? We are taking photos after the wedding and I'll put my feather fascinator in then, but I'm worried about pulling the veil on and off before the ceremony. :/
Anyone have any pictures of birdcage or blusher veils that are left on for formal pictures?
I agree, try out some pictures with and without. The pictures will look great either way!

I'm having the same dilemma! I think I'm going to do a few with the veil on, but most with it off. I figure there will be a number of ceremony pictures with it on, which is good enough for me. ;)
Are you doing anything in your hair then when you take off the veil? I'm worried it will look weird or too plain. But I don't know that I want to be putting things in and out of my hair before the ceremony. :/

I'm having the same dilemma! I am wearing a birdcage with a feather facinator, with my hair in a messy, low side updo. I think I am going to wear the facinator in my hair low for all of the pics and then put the veil on and move the facinator to the3 veil for the ceremony and then change it back for the reception. My friend that's doing my hair will be at the wedding, so hopefully I can get her to do some overtime.

Just wondering what your thoughts were-- I have a short veil that covers part of my face, and I'll be taking photos before the wedding- will the veil cover my face too much, or should I wear the veil for all the pictures? I don't exactly love when I flip the veil over my head- it looks awkwardly short to me. Also, do you think I should wear the veil during the ceremony? Will it get in the way for the big kiss?:)
I do have a feather fascinator, but I was planning to put that on right after the ceremony.
