My gown arrived (!) and is waiting for me at the bridal salon until my first fitting in May. I went to try it on when it came in, and I'm worried... It's a lace gown, mermaid bodice, but I'm petite (5'0") and the bodice is made for a taller woman (the cups are up too high, the mermaid flares out below my knees). Has anyone had to alter their dress to shorten the bodice (especially if lace)? Was it very costly? How did it turn out?
