I have a between shoulder and chin length bob and I had a really hard time finding bridal hairstyles.  I wound up deciding to wear my hair down with beachy curls.

I have an asymmetrical bob (shorter in back, just below chin in front) and I wore mine super straight.  I wasn’t willing to grow it out for the wedding and there wasn’t much else I could do with it, really, at that length with that cut…

How do you wear it normally?  What have you used to curl it?  Maybe you need a different technique to get a curl you like.

I did find some inspiration in Christina Applegate’s hair from “Samantha Who” but in the end I went with super-straight flat ironed hair.

Here’s Christina’s hair from that show: soft curls, really pretty IMO. And not that long.

And this was mine on my wedding day:

I also have shorter hair, similar to the style described by other Bees. It used to be just up to chin, but it’s now abount an inch longer and very short at the back. I also have thick straight bangs which I tried to grow out but got so annoyed that I just cut them myself last week ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m planning on doing just loose romantic curves maybe similar to the picture of Christina Applegate above but a little bit softer and more romantic. My biggest concern right now is my bangs, they are to short to be swept to the side and I’m not sure how they’d go with soft and romantic curls…

I also considered finger waves or marcel waves, but I was too lazy in the end to figure it out.  Pretty though, maybe it’s an option for you?  Do you have bangs?  I think I was hesitant because I have bangs and never know what to do with them if my hair isn’t straight…. but don’t have the patience to grow them out!

@Imagelicious:  You should play around with it now and see.   I had the same issue, and I tried very very hard to grow my bangs out but I couldn’t take it anymore, like you.  Annoyed the hell out of me and finally I gave in and chopped them.  I was hoping growing them out would let me do a side swept thing and blend it in to the curls… but oh well.   I think the bangs can be okay with the curls if the curls are very soft, almost wavy instead.  I don’t know, I think you just have to play around with it and see.

Again I don’t know if you have bangs but this is pretty and her hair is between chin and shoulder:

I just skip forward to see the end result. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Here’s another:

I’ve seen other tutorials for these faux updos with short hair but now I can’t find them! ๐Ÿ™

Check out this discussion, halfway down the page or so a woman shows her “faux updo”.

Looks like they sweep the longer front parts back and then make little pincurls with on  back of the head.

ahhh I can totally help you! (hopefully) I’m not even kidding, I chopped my hair off into a pixie, it grew out and is now in a bob, my hair is curly, but i wear it straight sometimes, but extensions seem like a waste of money in the long run so Im sticking with my short hair. Here are some pics, I hope they help!

I also have the chin length bob and am having so much difficulty finding some inspiration pics for my trial. Here is what I did for my engagement party so I may just go with the same style with the bird cage veil and flower attached. Back and front. Maybe a similar style will work for you!
