I'm also 5"2. My dress just arrived yesterday, and I hope to try her on this week - can't wait!!!

I'm 4'11 or 5'...

@woodwindwaker: Thank you! I definitely had a good bit of alterations, but they did a great job!
5-5'3 .. Not totally for sure. haha I measured to be 60 inches tall which is 5 foot even, but at doctors they have said 5'3 before, weird?
I had on small heels.
ohh sapphire! that DRESS :)
Mrs Estep, you're lucky to have found a short-ish guy. My FI is 6'4" to my 5'0" LOL
I'm 5'3'' without shoes. But I have some killer heels on in the pic!

I'm 5'1" (Legally... they let me round up. I'm actually closer to 5'.75")
I had my dress measured to fit someone 5'4", since I was wearing 3 inch heels. the length was basically perfect with my heels on.

Without my shoes on, just to show the difference. Please excuse me while I shake my head at myself for being a total cheese ball.
My FI and I actually measured me last week because I was curious as to how tall I actually am. I'm 5ft 2inches and 3/4. I'm jealous of girls who are 5ft 5in! I actually had to order my gown in petite, which was 5ft 6in. I'm wearing 4 inch heels, so hopefully that'll do the trick.
Oh also keep in mind that I'm shorter than that picture shows...I'm standing on one of those platforms.
II'm 5'2 and standing on a pedestal thingy in this pic.... hope this helps. I think you have to go try things on to see what looks good. According to magazines I souldn't even bother trying on ball gowns but I think they were the more flattering on me. The fitted sexy dresses I had in mind made me look smaller and shorter. See what works for you :D

I'm 5'3. I think I broke some rules with my dress. I hear so many different things about what short brides "should" wear on their wedding day. I just wanted something that I love and feels great!

@shanon: Yay! That's the silhouette I picked for mine! Don't have a good pic of mine yet, though. :(
Love this thread, I'm terrified I'm going to get swallowed by all the dresses!
ella86 your dress is amazing! You look like a princess,so beautiful.
@Showers: Thank you so much :D I tend to have dress regret so it is always nice to hear compliments.
I'm 5'2/5'3. I ordered my Maggie in "petite", whatever that means. it was actually perfect. I did no alterations to the length (just to the bust!) and I wore 1.5-2" heels, so not very much at all.

I am 5'2 and my dress is monsterously too long!!! I bought it anyhow, cash and carry and the place is closing so they can't alter it. I will be wearing heals, but I'm not sure that will do the trick! Any suggestions on how to make it seem shorter without an alteration? Sorry about the large picture! I need to learn to resize! lol
Get a crinoline and wear platform shoes with a 4 inch heel... should do the trick!
I am 5'2" on a good day. This is me standing on a pedastool with my shoes on. The dress will be hemmed and I am wearing 3.5" heels the day of the wedding.

@SapphireSun: I love your dress!
@pengoala:Great photo!
@Sundrop:Gorgeous dress!
@tinylittlebird:Haha, too cute!
Such beatiful dress, ladies!
I thought I already posted on here! guess not haha
Here is mine!
Im 5'1
Im gonna try to get real pics of my dress someday! haha
@ella86: I am similar shape like you. 5'2" and 100lbs, slender and smallchested. I skipped over all ball gowns when I was searching online and just thought i'd try one for the heck of it. And compared to the other tight fitting body mermaid/trumpet ones, the ball gown was really flattering for me. I felt super comfy in it and my mom said it didn't overwhlem me. My consultant said as long as the proportions are right, then it wouldn't eat me up.
Did you end up getting this dress? Who is the designer??
You look lovely! Like a princess!
@bump: Yup, I bought the dress the day I tried it on. It is a Mori Lee but that dress was just discontinued. I actually ordered the dress an entire year ago lol. I am one of those brides who is months ahead of schedule.
Beautiful choices everyone! I'm a little under 5'3" and have a hard time tolerating high heels. I really appreciated that Mori Lee offers their dresses in three different lengths at no extra cost. I ordered the shortest one, and it's perfect for me with 2 1/2" heels.
I"m 5'0 but will be wearing 5inch heels on my big day. =) I'm always in heels at least 3 inches everyday so it's not an uncommon thing.
My dress is a drop waist A-line (satin and tulle). I may modify it to a fit n flare.
