Yes, even if you have to custom make a band to fit an e-ring. : (12 votes)

No, and you won't even notice that they don't sit perfectly together. : (49 votes)

@aekc:  What do you mean by “fit”?  Do you mean your wedding band connects directly into your engagement ring? Or do you mean that your wedding band sits flush against your engagement ring?

It’s up to you!  I’m hoping to have my wedding band sit flush against my engagement ring but I’m not concerned about interlocked rings.

Edit: I re-read your post.  Now I understand.  I see a lot of ladies with rings that don’t sit flush against each other.  To me, it would bug me aesthetically BUT I’m not sure that it affects how the rings feel on the hand much.

@aekc:  When I get mine they won’t fit perfectly together, there will be a space between them. However I think is up to what you like better, some people can’t stand that they have space between them, some people like me) don’t mind it 🙂

It’s totally up to you. I have a gap in between my e-ring and wedding band because of the way my e-ring is shaped. I don’t mind it…some people do

@aekc:  I went the custom route, but only because my e-ring was custom and didnt have a band that “matched” it. When we designed my e-ring, we had the setting sit high enough that a straight band would fit pretty flush (although there will be some small gaps.) I wanted to be able to wear the band alone, so I didn’t want one of those “wraps/enhancers” or a curved band.

Try on a bunch of different bands. If you don’t find one you like, go the custom route.

@aekc:  I have a small gap and it bugs me (I’m going to get my e-ring altered as soon as I have time).  Lots of Bees love their gaps and celebrate them!  It totally depends on you.  Pic of your ring?

@aekc:  I voted YES but to be honest, in sneaking downstairs yesterday as I do about once a week to find our bands and try them on, I realized I’ll have a small gap. I really wanted a perfect fit and while they look alike, they are not exactly the same width, height, etc. Ho hum. I will survive and of course learn to love the band and the gap that accompanies it but if I could have it my way, they’d fit like puzzle pieces.

As an aside, when FH proposed, he also had already bought the bands. Apparently he knew I was going to say yes. What nerve!! 🙂

I voted no in your poll, but that’s because I disagree with the “yes” option. However, I think the real answer is that it’s completely up to the wearer, and the rings don’t have to sit flush unless you prefer that. If you do prefer that they fit together however, then you will notice if they don’t and it will probably bug you. I personally have been trying on straight wedding bands with my split shank halo, and I’m ready to embrace the gap, but to each her own 🙂

There’s no real “should” with engagement rings and wedding bands.  It’s just whatever you like and feels comfortable to you.  I’m personally going with mismatched bands that I won’t wear together all the time.

Your engagement ring is beautiful.  I’ve never seen a sideways pear before.

@aekc:  Your ring is beautiful! My rings won’t sit flush. I am using a ring that I bought for myself after a parent passed. Something old for my something new. 🙂

I think that when you look down, it should make you smile and should suit you. Just my two pennys.
