Okay so I have been obsesses with Maggie Sotteros new dress Mary that just came out in her new line! However I have 7.5 months to the wedding so I had postponed getting a dress long enough and went sat. Of course nobody actually had the mary dress in yet to try on! So I tried on similar dresses in the same style to try to envision the dress. Me being the stubborn person I am I said Yep IDC I need this dress! So I ordered it and now im freaking out a little. I wont get the dress until right before the wedding and havent tried it on. Alot of the dress I tried with the plain top I liked with a sparkly belt but I have to order a belt soon if I want one and I cant decide if I think a sparkly belt with the flower will be to much? What do you think?!?!

Personally I’m not a huge fan of belts/sashes, especially with this type of dress since I think it might cut it up a bit too much. But I imagine with a thinner belt it might look prettier and give it a touch of sparkle, but I agree that with the large flower accent, I think a thick belt might throw the balance off.

OOOH, pretty! I agree with PP, a big thick belt might be too much, but a skinny bling belt might be perfect! maybe just a plain 5-strand rhineshone sewed to a length of ribbon to tie in the back would be the ticket!

Considering the skirt of your dress and the floral accent I think a belt would be way too much. But i’m just going by your picture and my imagination, I think you dress looks good enough on it’s own.

That dress is definitely not made to be worn with a belt.

I had a Maggie Sotero dress (Antonia) and it was very similar with a flower and ruffly layers and it came with a sparkly sash sewn into the dress. I kept it and loved it! I think it could work with this dress too, but I agree with a PP who said a very thin sash.
