I finally got my paper flower bridal bouquet (roughly) assembled, and now I’m trying to decide if I should add little pearl and crystal clusters. I can’t decide if it adds to the look, or distracts from it.
Here are two pictures of the bouquet without the added pearls:
and here are a few shots where I placed the clusters in the gaps:
also note I am obviously going to wrap the stems nicer, so there won’t be floral tape showing.

I love the added pearls and crystals, very nice 🙂 Oh and your flowers look great, nice job.

I actually like it without the clusters, more put together look to me. Maybe try some brooches? or just leave it because it looks perfect as is!!

ps if you post a tutorial I would love you forever because I am looking for a nontraditional bouquet!

To be honest, I like it better without the extra clusters! I find them a bit distracting and find it harder to notice each individual flower (which are amazing, by the way).

I really like how everythink looks together. I like that they’re a fairly neutral color to help brighten up your main colors 🙂

@cwat12: of course I’ll post! I actually made two types of flowers from tutorials i found online.
Here are the links to get you started:
for those I used double sided paper (cardstock weight) I bought from Archivers, a scrap booking store. I like it because from different angles you can see the underside of the paper, which has a striped print.
Then I made the roses from this tutorial using a lighter weight paper, also from Archivers but just normal scrapbooking paper would do:
Total I made 18 flowers, and had two left over. I made 6 of each paper.
BACK TO THE PEARLS DILEMMA!
I think I am leaning away from the clusters… but I’m not sure. My Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets are very mismatched (a collection of tons of different papers and flower types) so I think I am liking that my bridal bouquet looks more clean and focused… but I am not sure! Its difficult when nobody else has seen it in person.

I like the pearls in the center of the flower only, it looks great!

I like the pearl clusters, I think they add an antiquey touch to the flowers and also adds a level of interest.

I like them. I think they fill in some of the blank space.

I loved that you added the pearls! Nice addition to an already beautiful bouquet! As pp saids, it fills up the bouquet a bit more 😀 Nice job! Did u have a tutorial for the paperflowers or did you use your own imagination to get them this pretty?

I do like the pearl clusters because it gives it a very feminine touch…. great job on these BTW!!
