Do you have a pic of your dress? I want to see it pseudo-together!
The back buttons all the way to the top, but you can imagine how long that would've taken. That's the veil on me, pushed to the side to show detail on the dress lol. I love the sleeves so that's the main reason I want my hair only half in front (if that makes any sense..lol) I plan to put it up halfway through the reception though, for comfort.
I think you could totally make that into a birdcage, and you should have enough left that you could do at least one trial run, or have enough if you make a mistake. Just watch a bunch of tutorials so you can get an idea before you start cutting up the veil
Hmm. I actually think a birdcage might clash with how BEAUTFIUL the top is!! The blusher also kind of hides it. Are you super set on having a veil? I personally think just a flower/pearls/bling in your hair would be soooo nice! OR a Mantilla would be a nice fit as well!
BUT to answer your question, i think you could definitely make a birdcage veil from your blusher, as MrsSl82be said, get your eyes on some good tutorials!
thanks bees! I LOVE the back part with the lace more than the whole dress combined I think lol..I wanted to do just a flower in my hair so I don't know why I even bought the darn thing! I wish they took returns at David's:( I guess I was just so caught up in the trying-on-the-dress experience I took it all lol..
Try re-puposing the veil!! If you do have a flower-thingie that you love, maybe try incorporating some of the tulle. Like setting the flower on top with a tulle kind of halo. Or re-purpose the tulle somewhere in your wedding. Maybe the flower girls?
Or you can always sell it or donate it!

I bought this blusher veil the same time I bought my dress.

Now, though, I've decided I probably should've gotten a birdcage. I've always wanted to wear my hair down, one side in front and one side behind my shoulder, with a flower. I realize that I probably can't do a flower and this veil, but I don't want the veil to not get used at all. Do you think there's any way I can make this veil into a birdcage without totally ruining it?
