@mrsztobee:  People are procrastinators. You will receive a slew of them a few days before and a few days after the deadline. You might have a lot of calling to do, so be prepared, but at this point I wouldn’t worry (and definitely don’t send a reminder).

I voted for “no, you’ll be fine,” but I feel your pain.

I sent out our invites mid-July and had a Sept. 1st deadline.  While most of the RSVP’s that we did get either immediately or right near Sept. 1st… ultimately only HALF of our guest list actually sent in their RSVP’s.  So I had to call half of our guests about a week after the due date.

This wasn’t a huge job as we had a pretty small wedding (only 34 invited), I was still peeved that I had to do this… as if it’s that hard to fill out a card and put it back in a pre-addressed stamped envelope.  Most of the people I called either said, “I just assumed you knew we were (or were not) coming.” lksajdvoaiuhg9a3w8hfrksadnvkjashfldkjsfh#@#$!!!!!!

Again, don’t freak out… but, that was my reality.

@mrsztobee:  Haha I know hon. It sucks so bad because people can’t send back a simple card (we even had ours prestamped). We ended up with only about 20 people, mostly from his side, that didn’t RSVP (out of 200), so we hardly had any calling to do.

I think you will be surprised a few days before and after the deadline at how many you receive.
