I had frequent BMs at the end, but it lasted for couple weeks and I never actually went into labor. My water broke and I was induced.

Please be careful of the watery stools and make sure it is not amniotic fluid in the toilet as well leaking while you are having a bm. I say this because I had the same thing and I had a tear in my sac, and when I had a bm  Iwas leaking a bit of amniotic fluid but didn’t know. So the watery stuff in the toilet I saw was part Bridesmaid or Best Man, part leaking fluid. I found out during labour I had a dry birth and I had leaked my fluid slowly over a period of a week or so…

mention it to your doc and if he seems concerned, they can do a test right there to see i you have any amniotic fluid leaking.

I can’t speak for anyone else but me, when I was preg with my second son a couple days before I went into labor I had a bm that convinced me I was dying! I really felt like it was my body gearing up for the big show! I know it sounds cliche but you will know! A lot of funny odd little things start happening that have never happened before at least for me ! Good luck and congrats

I had loose BMs for about 2 whole weeks before I went into labor. I would say not to get too excited… it probably is a sign, but actual labor could still be a couple of weeks off 🙂

I’ll be curious to hear what your doctor says, as I don’t see mine again until Friday. I had the same issue yesterday…although probably closer to a dozen times, with them getting looser as the day went on, although mine never got to a really watery point, just a very loose point.

I have been having a ton of BH, and am 1cm dilated (which is nothing, I know). I know it’s on the “possibly early labor signs” list, but so are a lot of things that don’t necessarily mean anything, so I’m taking it as a “maybe, but we’ll wait and see”.

I admit that when I first read the title I thought you were referring to bridesmaids…and I was really confused like..”maybe her wedding is close and she’s worried her pregnant bridesmaid will go in to labor early.”  LOL Now it makes more sense!  Good luck if you do go in to labor soon!

I’ve also heard that loose BMs could be a symptom of labor, but like others said, I’d just mention it to your doctor tomorrow.  I don’t think it’s anything to be concerned about.  Did you eat anything different lately?  It could also just be a reaction to something you ate.

I wish I was having similiar issues, though…I’ve been having the OPPOSITE problem, and it’s awful.  Prune juice helps, but it’s not exacty my favorite thing in the world.  I’ve had a combo of constipation with relatively loose stools…which doesn’t make any sense to me!!  Oh the joys of the end of pregnancy!

I had this happen a couple of days last week and since then have been pretty regular which is unusual for how it’s been the rest of my pregnancy. I didn’t mention it to my OB on Friday and haven’t had a cervical check so I don’t know if it means anything but I’m hoping it does 🙂
