The time has come to decide on programs!
I am torn. Do I want to bother with wasting paper and time in making them? We are having our ceremony and reception at the same place. It’s a small thing, we are inviting 80 people. The ceremony is super short. No readings from anyone, no prayers or hymns. Just a 15 minute thing from the officiant which I don’t think needs more information beyond “Ceremony” in a potential program.
So do you think I need one? If so, any suggestions what I should be putting in there to pad it?

No.. don’t bother wasting your money.

I didn’t and am so glad! No one really cares about who is in the wedding party and the order of things. Your guests are there to show their love for you and support your new marriage.

We did them, and put some funny/cute information in there. We also turned them into fans which was appreciated in the heat. So they were appreciated, and I heard it over and over and over. I hemmed and hawed about doing them too (finished them the day before wedding). And I am SO glad that I did. Our guest list was about 80 as well. IF you choose to do them, make them special somehow, if it hot: turn them into fans. Or make them funny/cute. Something like that to grab attention. I had people take them home. They were full of our personalities.

@MrsFutureG: if its out side and can be used as fan then yes…if not then no…dont bother with it…

We are doing them, although we have 200 people attending our wedding. Ours has a cute little silhouette of the bridal party, and explains who each person is.
It also has a program for the order (having sat through many a church service, I love to know where I am in the scheme of things, and how soon until it’s over LOL).
And, it has driving instructions for how to get to the receptions, and ideas on what to do during the “gap” – so hopefully ours will be useful.
If you don’t think you need them, then I think it’s okay to skip them!

My wedding will be about the same size and I’m not going to bother.

I invited about 80 people to my upcoming wedding, which 63 people are coming to. We are also having a short ceremony (and the reception is at the same place). Programs were definitely not necessary but I just ordered some today more so people have something printed on a thick piece of paper (I used the flat invitations from vistaprint, with a groupon…so cheap!), that they can use as a fan if it’s hot out…that is really the only reason I did them…

I am making my own fan programs as the church may get a little warm with all the bodies in there, plus they will be formal or semit formal, so id like them to be as comfortable as possbile. I will be having Approx 60 people. I am currently in the process of desiging them which is honestly no fun lol. But the end result will be awsome I hope.

- Wedding: September 2014 - Lodge
In my opinion its a waste. We are using an old farmhouse screen door and using window paint to make our program. I want this wedding as inexpensive as possible.

we had between 60 and 65 people.everything in one place inside.the DJ introduces the bridal party, parents and us so there is no need for them.i think they can be a waste of time and money unless they will be useful
