Hi Erin!

I actually had the same dilemma and did a lot of research on this! First of all, if you haven’t done so already, go to a salon and try on similar maggie dresses and pay attention to the size and fit, and make sure you like how the style looks on you. I did that and actually found that a different style of maggie dresses looked better on me than I originally thought!

Second.. check if the store is an *authorized retailer*. You can do that on the maggie webpage find the store by state, or just email the online store and ask them! RKbridal is authorized, I believe, and some other stores (PM me if you want names) are not. If you order from an unauthorized store, you might run into problems b/c maggie has been cracking down on those sellers and you might be stuck in limbo w/o a dress. If you go with an unauthorized seller, I think the dress you get is most likely real, they just order through a legit salon.

Hope this helps! I actually ended up getting my maggie dress used off the knot boards!  🙂

Thebridalshop.com is an authorized dealer.  Go to the "contact us" page and get their zip code.  Punch it into Maggie Sottero’s site and it will tell you if they are authorized.  I’ve done that with a few online shops to get a help narrow down my choices.

Oh and some of these stores (like RK bridal) do 5% price match, so if you get a quote from another online store, you can take it to the other store and price match it to save even more. 🙂
