My wedding is not until next year but I found these shoes that I am kind of in love with. I am having a retro kind of funky wedding and my colors are mint green and red with maybe some aqua. I already ordered my dress and it’s a recreation of a tea length 1950’s prom dress so shoes are actually pretty important because everyone is gong to see them. My Fiance is only 3.5 inches taller than me so it’s important to me that I don’t find shoes that are too tall. I also like that these have a pretty solid heel so I don’t kill myself trying to walk in stilletos down the aisle.
I guess the only downside to these shoes are that they aren’t mint green. My headpiece will be mint green so will it clash if the stripes on the shoes are forest green and sky blue? Fiance seems to think I will probably find something else between here and the wedding but I kind of want to buy shoes that have a little bit of personality not just pick a random pair because they are the right color.
Here are the shoes
And for reference here is my dress

hmm… they look kind of minty in the picture, but i have not seen them in person so I don’t really know.
That being said I do love the shoes, but I think with those shoes and a short dress I might have to say no. if your dress was longer and would cover them up I would say do whatever you like.

The dress seems way more formal then the shoes. I would look for less casual shoes.

I think if your wedding is super colorful, the shoes being this unique (and not mint green) would be fine.
I also think you have enough time to start on a search for either mint green heels OR white dyeable heels. You can add a cherry charm to them on your own.
Love your concept, I think you’re going to look awesome no matter what!

@globalmargaret: Yeah that’s what I thought too when I first saw them but the description said the stripes were blue which sucks.
@asscherlover: Hmm darn, formal was not what I was going for with the dress. I was hoping it looked kind of casual and fun. Thanks for the persepctive.
@Jody23: I hadn’t even considered dyables, that is something I definitely will start looking into, thanks!

I think the dress and the shoes are really nice separately but I think they both have too much going on for them to go together. Like a PP mentioned if the dress was longer I would say go for it, but I would keep looking.
If this were my dress I would go with a green that’s a little more muted, but that’s just my style. Like these: http://shopruche.com/pastel-palette-pumps-in-sage.html
I have a feeling though that you’re looking for something a little more fun 😉 Sorry I can’t be of more help!

@julies1949: I really really like these and the fact that the heel isn’t too high.
arielle: I love those Seychelles ones. Those could work especially with a fun shoe clip or something. Also I might just need to buy those Betsey Johnson ones to wear just in general lol.
Thanks for all the great suggestions so far!

I decided to go with a combination of suggestions, I just bought the white satin Seychelles I Do pumps on Amazon (a steal at only $53!) and I am going to dye them mint green using a tutorial I just found.
