My MOH dress for my BF wedding was purchased there along with the dresses for the 3 other girls. Although nothing was mixed up or wrong with the dresses the sales associates were not very helpful. Also, I too have read all the horror stories. I purchased shoes there that needed to be dyed and was told to get them a half size larger because the process would shrink them… and of course they didn’t and I couldn’t wear them. I also needed alterations and no one could give me an estimate of how much it would cost. I wouldn’t know until my first fitting (and I would have to pay that same day too). SOOOO what to do what to do…

I’ve gotten a BM dress from DB three times, and I’ve never had any major problems with them. The positive thing about them is that they’re a little cheaper, and it’s easier for your BMs if they’re scattered. It’s obviously up to you :), but you could always have them buy the dress there, but recommend using a different seamstress if they need one.

If you find a dress you love there I don’t see anything wrong with it.
I will never get alterations there though. They quoted me almost 200 dollars to get a dress altered (bought for a dance). I went to another place and it ended up being 45.

All my BM’s dresses are there. Only issues I really had was they never let me know when they came in for the first set we did get them even though they were going to charge us a storage fee. The last BM dress I got an email telling me it was here but ended up spending 45 minutes in the store because they couldn’t find it and that is only because they hadn’t put it in the pick up area yet. I do echo do not get your alterations there. My BM’s are going else where for theirs.

My BMs got their dresses from there and I also ordered a dress around the same time for a wedding that I will be in and they came in in 2 weeks! So fast and there was nothing wrong with any of the 8 dresses.

Thanks Ladies! I think I will go ahead and get them there. We have someone else for us to do alterations already I was just scared something MAJOR might go wrong. The good thing about David’s is that they are reasonably priced and I think it will be easier for us to mix and match dress styles like I would like too. THANKS!

You already have had bad experiences there, so for you, I’d say NAY.
And, go somewhere and get them off the rack. 🙂
