I would not do it.  No color looks as good as the one you have naturally and people would kill to have that pretty blonde hair!

The darker color might not come out of your hair if you hate it.

Can you get a fun haircut instead? Maybe that will relieve your hair boredom

I think you could pull it off but I would not because from what I know, it’s a bitch to get back to blonde after you dye it so dark. I’ve always wanted to try out red/auburn also but as a natural blonde, I don’t want to risk the damage and not being able to get it back to blonde.

I would leave it. Like pp’s have said, it’ll get damaged.

@Mrs. Wallaby:  I have dirty blong hair and I had burgundy / auburn hair for 10 years. I liked the way it looked but once i got bored of it it was hell to try to change it to anything else.

Let em tell you about red toned hair (auburn or burgundy). It’s hard to keep. Sun makes it go lighter so you have to up keep more. Plus since your natural hair is light, whenever you see roots coming out (about a month after) it will look like your hair is thinning. Once you get bored of it and want a different colour, you will have to strip your hair few times before you get the redness out and it will leave your hair dry and over processed. Red is really really hard to get out. And any brown you put on it will eventually look like it has a redish tinge that turns orangy after a while.

If you really want a change, I would colour your hair medium brown. It will look nice with your skin and it will be a drastic change. Then if you feel bored and want to get lighter, add some highlights to slowly get back the blond. It will be a nice transition and wont ruin your hair.

I am now a brown and I love it.

I would not really suggest auburn. What about a nice golden-brown like this?

Or you could go with a pretty strawberry blonde (less dark than auburn), like this:

hmm i agree an all over wash of auburn might be a bit much. maybe lose some length and mix it up with other type of hair color that blends with your natural color?

if you wanna go emma stone i would go light as possible
