I’m trying to put together a collection of images for the wedding coordinator and so far I’ve come up with the following for the ceremony. Below is the Courtyard area that we will be having the ceremony. There will be white wooden fold up chairs on each side of the aisle. This picture was taken in August 2013, and our wedding will be in May 2014. I assume that the Ivy on the wall (which I love!) will be covering the entire thing. My questions is: Should I decorate the Arch?
Other than that there will be tons of petals down the aisle and flowers in tin buckets like below.

Can you have the florist wire some white flowers into the greenery? I think that would really tie it all together! If that’s not in the budget, it looks great as-is.

@crayfish: I’m DIYing my flowers, but that is a great idea! I had no idea how they rigged the flowers up on the arches. A little floral wire goes a long way!

That’s a stunning arch! I think it’s fine as-is.
But I like flowers attached to brown arches!

@lina010: I agree with adding in some flowers to the arch. You should be able to do it with floral tape and wire; both come in green so they should blend right in.

@lina010: If that picture of the ivy is from this year, it will not grow fast enough to cover the entire wall by next year, but that’s ok, it is still lovely.
You can easily wire on some fresh flowers or do something with large scale paper flowers that can be made ahead of time.

I forgot to say that I would definitely decorarte the arch with something so it is more of a focal point.

Gorgeous ceremony space! The ivy is beautiful Normally I like arches decorated with flowers. But yours is so distinctive with the ivy, and for some reason I’m imagining it adorned with your married monogram in big white letters to match your white flowers.

@LibrarianTellsAll: that is excellent! I know just where to get a huge monogram!
