OK if I just might be having my next engagement pictures taken at maybe the happiest place on earth and might be wearing jeans in some of the pictures should I DIY these converse? The seller on EBAY wants $200 and I think I can recreate for cheaper . . .
I am very silly so would be great for the really fun pictures and then I am also thinking of doing a nice outfit with a dress and sweater or jean skirt, crisp white shirt and cardigan too with normal shoes (flats of course sigh)

I think they are adorable and you could totally DIY them!

To be honest, I’m not a fan. Having e-pics at Disney is incredible, but adding more paraphernalia to your outfit seems like severe overkill, and I think it would take attention away from the real focus – you and your fiance!

I love those!! I say go for it. I want a pair too.

@sarahbabs: I hardly think a pair of Disney-themed shoes – sneakers, especially! – is going to be the center of attention in an e-shoot. That’s hardly overkill. As long as no one is decked in Disney gear, a simple pair of shoes isn’t going to ruin anything.
I say DIY. $200 for those (especially since they’re not even licensed) is just ridiculous. It’s minimal crystal application, and some polka-dot shoelaces. I’d even make the ears a little smaller… poor Mickey looks a bit blob-like.

You could definitely recreate those for A LOT cheaper. How awesome would they be??? You could even do black shoes with red laces

@sarahbabs: I’m with her. Too themed for my tastes.

@maraschino: I promise I was thinking jeans – plain tshirt and simple cardigan if it was cool – no other cutesy stuff – just a hint of cutesy on my feet which is kind of my signature on weekends and when I am not at work
I kind of also loved that it was mickey on one and minnie on the other

Too cutesy in a bad way for me. They look kinda juvenile with the polka dot laces and rhinestones. Being from Florida I have seen plenty of crazy disney people and this looks something they would wear. Maybe do pins or something that you could wear for some of the pictures? Or just diy the shoes if you love them.

I also love that one is Mickey and the other is Minnie =]
Personally, I see nothing wrong with wanting to wear something “juvenile” in an engagement shoot. I’m 26, and I would rock those shoes with regular wear (and LOTS of my girlfriends would be super jealous haha), but that’s who I am; playful, casual, and a Disney-lover.
And who said she has to wear the shoes in every single photo? She can easily swap out a pair of shoes…

Soo cute! But I agree, make Mickey’s ears smaller. Those proportions aren’t right! Also, maybe skinnier laces.

I think you should hurry up & try to recreate them yourself & if it doesn’t work out good, then you can try to get them on ebay still! I picture in my head from what you described that oyu would wear w/ them & I think it would make for some very cute pictures @ Disneyland!!!
