So this is my gown and before even buying it I wanted to dye my crinoline turquoise. Our colors being black with hints of red & turquoise. But now I”m not so sure it will “go” with my dress. What do all you bees think?

I think it would go great with your gown; however, if you are wearing colored shoes, you may not want to dye it because it might be too much. I was going to dye my crinoline, but I thought it might show through my gown, so I decided against it, plus I am wearing colored shoes, and I thought that the crinoline would be too much.

@Cherry311: Is that an Alfred Angelo dress? Our wedding colours are tiffany blue and red 😉

My only concern would be if it will show through the dress? Is the fabric thick enough or does it have enough layers?
I think a bit of color would look great, but I agree with Noritake that you could do colored crinoline or colored shoes, but probably not both. Have you already picked shoes?
Very pretty dress & I think a little color will make it uniquely you 🙂

I had planned on wearing turquoise shoes….and you’re right, if I did both it would be too much.

Thank you Pwitty! 🙂
There are a few layers, but I do agree about TOO much with colored everything underneath! Something to think about. I found turquoise shoes that I want, but haven’t bought them yet.

No its not Alfred Angelo, but I really liked a lot of his dresses. Its from David’s & i don’t think its an actual designer dress.
