My fiance and I have pushed our wedding back 3 times now, and I fear that it will happen again! We can never seem to work it out financially. I also am wanting to go back to school soon, but I can’t decide if my wedding or school is more important? School would mean pushing our wedding back… again. It’s already currently set for next December, which seems far away as it is! I really just want to marry the love of my life. So is it worth the financial burden to have a wedding like I have always dreamed of? Or should I just get a beautiful, short white dress and fly to Vegas? I have to say it is very tempting…

I say elope! You can always have a reception later!

That’s kind of what I’m thinking too! 🙂

Do you think you will actually have a reception later, if you keep having to push it back due to financial reasons? What are your priorities for a reception? Are there people you want to be present? I didn’t have much money for my daughter’s wedding/reception, due to grad school debt, yet I was able to put together a very nice wedding for her-just what she and her (now) husband wanted. There really is a lot you can do, if you set your priorities and look for many ways to save. 🙂
