8 days ago we met with a potential photographer and her assistant. The assistant took a “mini engagement session” at that time and was going to send the pics to us.
5 days ago, the main photographer emailed and said she had seen the pictures and that they were great.
2 days ago, she said sorry for the delay, and that she just emailed the assistant my email, so I should get the pics soon.
We haven’t received them yet. It sounds like they are complete, but I don’t want to annoy her! I would like to get going on making a decision soon, though.
Should I email and ask about the pics?

It can’t hurt to send a short polite inquiry, and then they for sure have your correct email address.

@lauraashley09: I would wait another day – most photographers work on the weekend (shooting events) and use the week days to edit. If you don’t recieve them in a few days, shoot a short email over, saying something along the lines of “we are dying to see our photos? Any idea when we’ll get to see your awesome work?”

I’d wait. i don’t deal with correspondence over the weekend. Plus, you’re seeing how they honor timelines and delivery. That’s good info.

Just because it’s Monday and we are coming off a weekend I would wait. I also think a lot of photographers work on weekends so maybe a Monday or a Tuesday is a good day for them to take off…I’d wait another day!

@lauraashley09: did you hear anything yet? had they said when they would send them? I’m a stickler for turn around, and if not told I go with 48 hours response time.
