So FI and I met with a caterer for the 2nd time a little over 2 weeks ago. We first met with her back in June. We were taking our time over the summer meeting with a few different caterers, then I started school in September and we moved so we just put the whole process on hold for a bit.
Well just over 2 weeks ago we went back and met with this caterer bc she was the first one we’d ever met with and our expectations were too high so her quote totally scared us off – but after meeting with many others we realized we needed to tailor our menu.
So we met with her again, the menu she came up with is AWESOME!!! (We’re not doing a dinner, just lots of hors d’oeurves, a poutine bar, and dessert table). The menu she created it amazing, we’re so excited.
She said she’d have the notes typed up and sent to us in a few days and then I could pay the deposit. Well, last monday (9 days after our meeting) I emailed her (twice bc she gave me 2 different emails) and asked if she was ready. She asked for a couple more days to get the notes ready and that she was looking forward to working with us.
Now a week later, I haven’t heard from her. Should I email her again? Will I be a pest if I email again or should I give her a few more days? She has a lovely shop set up and I found her bc she was recommended in one of our local wedding magazines so I’m sure she’s reputable.
What should I do?
(Side note… I overanalyze, But I’m worried maybe I offended her? This whole caterer process has taken so long, when our meeting was wrapping up with her I just said to FI “can we just book this now? I want her! I know this is the best, can we just sign off on this right now?” – I meant bc I was sure she was the best and I didn’t want to look for anyone else anymore, but I worry that she might have been offended by the way it came out?)
