I am thinking about getting my Fiance a ring too that he can wear before we get married.
He can either get a differnt one later if he wants or keep the same one. I want to supirse him, I think he’d really feel special if I got him one. What do you guys think?
have any of you done this?
I cant decide wich one to get, he actually seen this one online once and commented on in, asking if her should get one early 😉
Its kinda wide though, not sure if he’d really like that or not.
Then theres this one I fount:
its not real diamonds of course, do you think guys would be affended with fake diamonds lol? would they even like the “bling”?
then theres these black ones:
What do you think a guy would like to receive as an engagement ring???

I wouldn’t get my Fiance an “engagement” ring… I bought him an engagement PS3! But I like the third one the best. In fact, it looks a lot like the wedding band Fiance picked out….

I really like the black one! I proposed to my Fiance with a pendant. However, I think he’s like an engagement ring! I’ve heard some men complain on not getting anything upon engagement.

I did something similar to @Beckster329:. I got my Fiance an iPad rather than a ring. Jewelry is not his style.
But, I know several couple in which the man wore a ring during their engagement. I like the idea! I voted for the black ring.

Very simple answer: If he wants one, yes- get it. If he does not, no- don’t.
Some guys like to share in the ring commitment, some don’t. I’d also let him pick which one he likes.

I would get him another item that he’s been wanting.

I think guys either really want one or really don’t want one. I know a guy who got one of these and was too embarassed to wear it.
What about a different engagement present? My Dh got an engagement watch. I engraved it and everything. I also know a guy who got an engagement belt buckle from Tiffanys.

I bought Fiance an Engagement ring and proposed right after he proposed to me! We had a matching custom set made and he Loves to wear it 🙂 I like the 2nd one 🙂

I like the first one. I made DH’s ring and he wore it immediately, I don’t even know if we were actually engaged at that point. Needless to say, he wore it through-out the engagement, I don’t really see why men wouldn’t? If we wear one, why wouldn’t they? (Just my personal opinion of course.)

I guess I’m sexist b/c I think a male engagement ring is a bit emasculating!

I got my Fiance one, tungsten. His wedding band is white gold so they will be different and this one will move to his right hand. He joked a few times about not getting anything while I got the big rock so I gave him one a few months ago and he loves it. He said this past weekend that he really likes the way it feels. He calls it his training ring…lol… and happily tells anyone who asks that its “his” engagement ring. Its like having part of me with im all day, just like I think of him every time I look at my finger.
Most countries in Europe both parties get a ring, its really common all over the world. Fair is fair.
