@jesssamesssa:  most good estheticians would offer a complimentary consultation prior to treatment.  My recommendation would be to find a reputable esthetician and speak to them about setting up a consult.  They will be able to look at your face, analyze the skin, and determine the best course of treatment.

@jesssamesssa:  I definitely would.  I would also make sure that the place has good reviews, etc.  I am very particular about my face because it’s sensitive.  The woman I now see for my facials, etc was very good about answering my questions before and after my treatments.

Have you ever been to a Dermatologist to see what the root cause of your skin issues could be, and/or looked into your diet?  Personally, I would do those things before doing something like a peel – my mom had one, and while the results were good, it seems like a bit of an extreme thing to do when you’re so young.  Finding the root cause would prove more beneficial in the long-run than a short-term solution like the ones you’re considering.

@jesssamesssa:  I have had microdermabrasion 3 times and while I liked it at the time, the overall results were not super impressive.  It may depend on what sort of skin you start with though.  I think if someone has scars or discoloration, that they might see more results and change than I did.  I didn’t think I looked or felt too different afterwards. Your skin is softer for a week or so. I had bought a package of three or I may not have bothered going back after the first one. On the other hand, I have a friend who used to have roseacea that loves Microdermabrasion.  She swears it changed her face.
