Should I have a custom bezel added to my halo E ring?

plumplant:  can we see a side profile pic? That way we can get a true sense of your ring!

I like ovals much, much better when they are bezel set in a halo, but that is my personal preference. It is also much safer for the dimaond. Your post made me think that perhaps the bezel will just be on the sides? If that is the case I would just go all in and have the bezel all the way around.

I’m not that big on airlines… and I love bezels. I vote go for it if it’s not too expensive and you aren’t happy.

Maybe not a bezel, but you could add some beveled metal in the gap. My friend had a specific ring she wanted (the setting is beautiful!) but it naturally fits a 6 carat stone, so my dad (a jeweler) added a piece of metal to fit her 3 carat. It looks awesome! Here is a picture before the metal was added. And then the next two with the center stone is what it looks like with the metal.

plumplant:  you totally need bezel there! I love bezel set stones with halo and ovals take my breath away. Your ring will be stunning with it!

plumplant:  omg this is the best ring post of recent weeks. Putting that gorgeous oval into a gorgeous setting is so much fun! What an amazing ring. I’ve joined the oval brigade (in fantasy) here on the WB and it’s my new favorite shape.

Nena16:  Well that was also before the ring was sized to fit her too. So it looks much larger.

I like the setting where there is metal inbetween that PP posted.. Instead of a bezel set, why not do that? If not, I say go for the bezel!! I think it will be pretty.
