I have been starting to worry lately that I will get some raised eyebrows at my wedding because I am planning on wearing white. I have never been married, but I will be 36 by the time the wedding is here and I feel, well, too old for white. Am I crazy?

It’s your wedding–you can wear whatever you want! I don’t think there is an age limit for wearing white at your wedding, or a marriage # limit for that matter But do whatever makes you comfortable and happy!

Regardless of age or any other factor, I personally think white is fine for anyone. I mean, that’s the traditional color for brides anyways, right? If you want to wear white, wear white. But if you’re uncomfortable in it for YOUR personal reasons, that’s when you need to think about it. Don’t let other people’s opinions dictate your choices. I don’t know of any wedding I’ve ever been to where anyone criticized the bride’s dress…especially the color of it. Sometimes people are less than thrilled with the style, but I think everyone comes to weddings looking for a woman in white.

From what I gather it really doesn’t matter what color you wear at this point. I know plenty of people wearing white who already live with their FI’s etc. I think dying it is not necessary. I suppose if you have an older crowd they may think something, but doubtful they would say anything! GL, I’m sure you look beautiful in your dress! 🙂
