- Wedding: July 2010
I have been struggling with one of my BMs who has offered to step down. I have recieved a lot of support recently from my future SIL (FI’s brother’s wife) who went through the same thing with one of her BMs. My future SIL did not ask me to be in her wedding party (she has a very large social network and we did not really know eachother that well when they got married a few months ago). However, given that I am thinking about sacking one of my BMs I wonder if you think it is appropriate for me to ask the future SIL (or would she feel hurt that she was getting asked as a second tier). Also, if I didn’t ask her to be in the wedding party, are there any special duties/ roles I could create for her? I have already thought about my FI’s brother and her doing a reading for the Ceremony – any other thoughts. Also, where should I sit her if she isn’t at the bridal table?
