So my mom got me Cole Haan bridal shoes for Christmas.  To me, they are just way too expensive.  I've never had shoes that nice and never really had a need for them.  I am struggling with the idea of a $300 pair of shoes that I will only wear once.  My mom won't be offended if I take them back but she made a good point that they are dyeable.  I could dye them a bright color for the wedding or just black after the wedding to wear again.

So I need help.  Should I keep them?

The main question is: do you like them? Is price the only thing that makes you think about returning them? If you like them, and see yourself wearing them on the wedding day (either white or dyed), keep them! And if you dye them you can wear them even after the wedding, which might make you feel better about their price. They are very cute though!

I like them but I'm just not sure.  I want to get a lot of use out of them if they cost that much.  I found these other Cole Haan bridal shoes that if I dyed, I might get more use out of.  I wear pumps a lot but rarely wear strappy heels.

You could always try selling them after your wedding, too.  There's always bees looking for a cute pair of bridal shoes :)  but I agree, it really depends on how much you like them!

For that much money (even as a gift) you should love your shoes. I worry that if you keep them, you'll feel obligated to use them just because of the price tag, even if you find shoes you love later.

I'll be honest, IMHO they're not THAT great looking. I like the peeptoes you posted more; the straps are a little too chunky on the sandals. They're just not very feminine, which is odd because aren't heels like the most feminine shoe ever?!

Those are the Cole Haan Nike Air ones right??

I like them alot, but again it's your choice!

These may also be an option... A little pricier, but a ton more feminine!

    Good luck!

P.S. ladies, Cole Haan is having a sale! 40% off selected merchandise :) get your butts to colehaan.com!

I agree with *daydreamwanderer*  I think you should love them (gift or not).  I really like the peep toe ones you posted second a LOT better than the first ones and I think you're right - you would probably get way more use out of them after the wedding.  If I were you, I would sit on it for a little while and just think about it.   You have plenty of time to decide!

Hm...if you aren't in love with them, then I'd say it isn't worth it! I have a penchant for expensive shoes, but I absolutely refuse to shell out the cash for them UNLESS I feel like I'm going to die if I don't have them!

If you like the peep toe pump better, let me suggest an awesome shoe! The Maylie pump by Enzo Angiolini is my absolute favorite; I am wearing a yellow pair for my wedding, but I have 3 other pairs in various colors/patterns that I've purchased over the years. I know for a fact that I will wear them after the wedding, which is a big plus in my mind! They are only around $80, and you can find them at a bunch of different stores; they are a staple at Nordstrom, and Enzo changes the colors/patterns every single season, so if you're looking for something brighter, I am sure that some will be out for spring very soon! Or, piperlime has some silver ones on sale for $50 right now...

They are honestly one of the most comfortable heels I own...I can wear them all day!

If you don't love them then get what you know you'll like esp. if you will wear them again

I like the peep toe pumps better. If I were you, I'd get a pair that you know that you will wear again. Don't keep other ones just because, especially if you aren't crazy about them, they cost a lot and you won't wear them agian.

Wish I had the problem but.. any way, i prefer the second pair. i also bought a pair similar, no where near cole hahn quality but same style and so far they feel pretty good. Will do some more walking around house and bring them to the dress, hopefully thsi week. but definately make sure you will wear the shoes again for that price. I dont' care who's buying them.
