I'm with your wedding planning side. DO IT, DO IT! You've tried on over 100 dresses! You know what you want.
You could always photoshop some of the pictures together. But I think it'll be beautiful, and if you've already seen it on (kind of), I'm sure you and the consultant have a good idea of how it will look.
What's the alternative? Pay a little less for something that doesn't make you as happy? Only you can know whether it's really going to break the bank or not. But I say do it. :)
I can totally see the one top and the one bottom looking awesome together! Go for it! 100 dresses should have taught you by now what you do and do not want- so do it!
Love the top of the first dress! I think it will look great together :) Do it!
I think they would look BEAUTIFUL together!!!! I love the top of the one, and the bottom of the other too! I also think that when they make it, they will make sure that it flows together well, making it look like its supposed too! I think you should do it :)
So noone feels that they would look horrible together? I guess Im just paranoid they might have a differnt vibe to each one...
I think Im going to call the bridal salon tomorrow and see if we can negotiate price a little and then Ill order...
That's a wonderful idea, that actually seems like it would look beautiful together. I would think that your bridal consultant would be able to give her opinion as well on the "matchingness" of the two
I'm partial to the first one since it was what I wore for my wedding. The bottom really isn't that fancy and that's part of the reason I liked it. I love the train of the 2nd one, the only thing I'd be worried about is having too many pickups and in the wrong place. But I do like the idea, do you have a picture of you in the 2nd one?
The first one looks amazing on you! and it was one of my top 5 choices. Personally I don't care for pickups so I'm not a huge fan of the 2nd dress but I by no means think the two would look bad! I think it would probably look very nice!
The first dress picture isnt me, Its a picture i found online, Ihate how it looked on the model pictures so I found one I liked, but the girl in the picture and I have a similar build so its more realistic.
@BVIG I just stalked you and you look amazing in the dress, your veil looked amazing with the dress. If I was willing to do such a long veil the first dress would have been perfect, but since Im not, its not fancy enough for me.
Definitely looks like the two will work nicely together. Why not? 100 dresses later, this may be the solution.

Ive officially tried on OVER 100 wedding dresses! My wedding is in six months so Im starting to get nervous... BUT I think I might have found the one... well the two, let me explain.
I tried on two casablanca dresses, I like the top of one, and the bottom of another, and the fabric of neither. The consultant then had the crazy idea to make me put on both dresses, AT THE SAME TIME! (I wish she let me take pictures, I looked rediculous!)
She called Casablanca and they agreed to take the top of one dress, with the bottom of another, and do it in whatever fabric I preferred, for the lovely price of $1500...(with all alterations included)
The price is killing me, my sensible side is SCREAMING no! $1500 for a measely dress youll wear once in your life?! My wedding planning side is chanting DO IT! DO IT! Ive finally found something I like, how can I say no.
Aside from the price, my other hang up is, technically Im ordering a dress Ive never officially tried on, and Im a bit worried its going to look mis-matched because Im not sure the top of one dress mesh well with the bottom of the other...
So after a week of internal debate Im turning to the hive, here are the pictures, please tell me your thoughts! Do I order it?
Thanks bees!
(The dresses are Casablanca 1938 and Casablanca 1904)
