I think it’s a nice touch!

If it’s a great price, you should do it–if not, there’s a post in the DIY part that talks about stamping napkins for about $5 per 50 or so (including stamp and ink) that looks just like the personalized napkins!

I know a lot of people do this, but we chose not to.  Personally, I didn’t think that it was something I wanted to spend the extra money on.  I didn’t think people would really notice this, so I figured we’d put our money somewhere else.

A very cute detail, but one I don’t think tons of people would notice.  Maybe save the money you’d spend on this, and splurge on embroidered cloth napkins to have for MUCH longer after the wedding!

This is something I am debating if I want to spend the money on also. I am also debating the whole DIY stamping.  Let us kniow what you decide and why. 🙂

while it does sound like a nice touch, i don’t think it will be appreciated as much by your guests. so i agree with some of the other posters, use the money to upgrade or splurge on something else!

I agree with lavenderpug. Its a nice idea, but that money could probably be better used elsewhere.

I think it’s a great personal touch but probably will go unnoticed.  We had napkins printed for our engagement party and still have 100s left over.  My cousin was married in May and my aunt spent months agonozing over the right napkin, the right font, the right color and even though I knew she did it, I couldn’t tell you what those napkins looked like!

In the long run though, if you want them and they’ll make you happy and you have the money to spare wihtout taking it out of another budget – go for it. It’s your day!

I think they are fun to do but if you are trying to cut a few corners/spend more in other areas then skip it 🙂

We got the personalized napkins from the Knot (I think I caught them on a sale for like, $17 for 100 with free personalization) to use at the bar and to serve with the cake.  People did notice and complimented us on how cute/nice they were.  Also, we only had a few left, which works out well so everyone (us, the in laws, my family) can have one or two for scrapbooking/memory purposes.

I think it’s a nice touch but don’t think tons of people take the time to notice it. We decided to skip them, but if you can get them for a cheap price, I say go for it.

How many are you planning on ordering?  If they’re $17/100 like @Piccteer’s, and you only need 100,  I say go for it!   It’s a cute touch that I would notice as a guest… but I probably won’t do it for my own wedding.

We have custom cocktail napkins, but only because we got them for a song through theknot.com’s shop when they were on sale. I’d use the money elsewhere if it were me!
