atlbride2013: it really depends… I’ve never quit a job and regret it, and I have some jobs on the resumes that make people go WHOA.

Why not talk to your manager? If you have good relationships, you should be fine. Can you WFH? That’s pretty normal in my industry.

I would quit if I were you. I don’t see a huge difference between 19 months and 24 months. Also, I think it’s probably fairly common for people in today’s economy to have many jobs on their resumes. Do whatever is best for you and baby.

atlbride2013:  So if you’re pregnant already and like you said you don’t need the money as much, then just quit now before you start getting too tired. I don’t think it matters as much if you receive two incomes when applying for a mortgage compared to a good single income. It also depends on how much you want to qualify for. We were able to get our house with my DH income only, so it’s doable.

atlbride2013:  I agree. I would like to continue to work while I am pregnant given I have a job by then. It’s so true that it makes the day go much faster, and it serves as a distraction. I think a part-time is great, but given your work conditions, it is not worth risking the development of your baby to the exposure of chemicals. I work with chemicals, so although there is always a risk definitely not recommended.
