I’m not a fan of that type of skirt, personally, but the important thing is that you love it.  Our parents probably thought their 70s and 80s dresses would be timeless… chances are, many of ours won’t!

I think its beautiful and you look very happy in it! I say go for it.  Some people can pull of that type of skirt and you are one of them I think its stunning

I think it’s very pretty. I kind of wonder what it would look like without the belt? I’m only saying that because the skirt has a lot going on–which I happen to think is really fun and beautiful–but maybe no belt necessary?

I think you should go for it if you love it, kaliella right, timeless is mostly not something that your gonna be able to achieve so why not go for something your love. I really love the skirt btw I think it looks awesome.

I think the dress looks great on you! I love the shape, its similar to mine and the flower belt is so pretty.

I do think that pick ups, in general, are the wedding dress trend that people will look back on and wonder “what was i thinking?!?” about the aughts. Your dress is very different than most like this that I’ve seen, and doesnt have that cupcake quality about it, which is good. I think it has pick ups–hard to see in the pic. So its a little trendy.

But…isnt that kind of fun and awesome in its own way? I think you would regret not getting a dress you loved because you were worried about future fashionistas more than you would regret looking back on a dress that was trendy.  I’m sure someone will knock my dress–now or in the future. doesnt matter. i love it now!

Hmm…honest opinion, I’m just not loving this skirt on you, I’m also 5’1 and know that I myself would be concerned about the dress wearing me.  I can see why you love this dress, and think it’s beautiful, but am concerned about all attention being drawn to the skirt and not your beautiful face!

i’m not a fan because i don’t like shiny fabric but i don’t matter.  i don’t think wedding dresses have to be timeless, jut something  YOU will love even when you look back on it.
