@simmons412:  I am not a fan of that dress. I think you could find something a lot more flattering. However, all that matters is how you feel in the dress. If you love it, certainly don’t let me stop you! 🙂

Maybe it’s a bad picture, but I feel like that dress is not flattering on you, hon. I would prefer an open neckline. Plus, I feel it is too clingy. Sorry to be a buzz killer. Have you tried other silhouettes?

How does it make you feel?  Like PP I’m not a huge fan of the horizontal lines and it’s hard to see the detail in the neckline because of the way you have taken the picture, but all that really matters is if it makes you feel amazing and gorgeous 🙂

@simmons412:  I say keep looking. Perhaps find a dress with more structure and support?

If you LOVE it, go for it!

But if you don’t LOVE it, keep looking!

Ooh I LOVE #2!!  Your shoulders and arms look great in it!  And you do have 6 months to tone up a little bit if that’s something you want to do….

I actually quite like the first one too, except I’m not a huge fan of the neckline.  But with alterations and shaping undergarments, the first one would look really great on you.

Well that second dress is gorgeous on you!  I bet you could add some beautiful lacy sleeves to cover your arms if you wanted, although I think the dress looks amazing on you as is!  It fits your shape really well- so flattering!  I actually really like that big flower belt- it wouldn’t work on everyone or with every dress, but I kind of love it!

However, if you aren’t totally in love with it, or aren’t completely comfotable, keep looking!

THat second lace dress is BEAUTIFUL!!  Like other posters, I am not a huge fan of the original dress you posted, but I think you should say “yes” to that second one!

@simmons412:  I don’t  think it’s the right cut for you. I love the neckline and the vintage-y feel, though.

I’d look for more of an a-line or empire waist. Check Etsy, or do a quick google search for Vintage Inspired Wedding Dresses. A brief look showed a ton of awesome options. In addition, Modcloth, BHLDN,, and Sally Lacock have awesome options.

I say keep looking to the first one. The second one however is much better but I still think that it lacks the VA VA Voom factor. I would vote to keep looking.
