Should I spend the extra $50 and get personalized cocktail napkins?
I know the venue will have cocktail napkins already, so its really unneccesary to order these. But, I keep being drawn back in bc I love personalization. I don’t want to spend the extra money on this, but I’m so tempted!
Please vote 🙂
The cheapest I’ve found are on this site: http://invitations.michaels.com/2988-MKQASBLG-Aqua-Napkins.pro?parentProductId=61224 25% off, but no free shipping with that. Would pick the CAKE design, not the one shown in the pic.

If you’ve got it in the budget and you want to, why not?

Yea, all about your budget. I love personalized things like cocktail napkins, mongram dance floor, etc. but all about if you can add the little extras or not.

@virgomasala80: If I was in your shoes, I wouldn’t get it. To me, spending money on something that people use to wipe their mouths and then throw out isn’t worth it to me.
Perhaps take that money and use it to upgrade your bouquet, or get a pretty piece of jewelry you’ll have forever

definitely not unless you REALLY want it. no one else will remember besides you

@virgomasala80: You know what? I voted yes but after reading other responses I’ll add “only if you want cocktail napkins MORE than anything else you could spend the $50 on”. I mean, if you keep thinking about it and you’re really excited about it- go for it. It will be worth if for you. But if you think $50 could buy the earrings you want and you’ll have forever or might pay for a tip you forgot to include in the budget or could cover a little overtime you accidently need to pay a vendor, than save it.

@virgomasala80: Nope. After getting married, I realize things like that arent worth wasting money on. Spend that $50 on something for you. For example, a more expensive bouquet or better earrings. You arent going to put a picture of the cocktail napkins on your wall but you will have your bouquet for a large part of the day (well I did at least.) OR, go buy a nice bottle of wine to share with your hubby once you get back to the hotel after a long wedding day. Buy your parents a meaningful thank you gift, save it for a date night or buy some of the makeup that your MUA uses on you. Make every purchase meaningful and significant.

@virgomasala80: Sounds very unnecessary to me.

Oriental trading company has 100 personalized cocktail napkins for $30, so we decided it was worth it. They’re super cute 🙂

We got some, but went way overboard because I couldn’t decide on a design! I now have a sack full of napkins that I just use when we have company. I kept two of each design for memories, but I really didn’t have to get as many as I did!
If it’s something you really want, go for it!

omg no. do not do it. NO ONE will notice or care. and they’re very overdone at weddings as well.

no, that doesn’t seem worth it, sorry.

If you have unlimited budget, sure. Otherwise, as PPs have said napkins seem just a bit too disposable. Saying that, we are getting personalized coasters because I’m figuring that people can take those home as favours if they want. Although a woman seated beside me on a patio today who overheard me talking about wedding plans told me that the only thing guests really remember from a wedding is whether or not there is enough booze so people all have different priorities.

@virgomasala80: it’s not neccessary at all.
let’s put it this way, if you didn’t have them, no one would notice. if you did have them, no one would remember.

@virgomasala80: If you really really need it, ask the venue for the napkins ahead of time, and use a stamp on them with your monogram. It would still be a waste of about 12 bucks, but it won’t be quite so crazy (people are going to wipe their dribble on them and throw them away)
