Hmm…I’m not sure. I don’t think I’ll be taking my engagement ring on honeymoon, but both me and my fiance (well, husband by then), will wear our wedding rings no doubt.

However, although my initial plan was to leave it at home in case it got lost/stolen, I started having irrational fears that my house would burn down/get burgled and I’d lose my engagement ring forever 🙁

Maybe if you’re not sure about taking it, give it to a trusted friend/family member to look after until you come back?

Darling Husband and I both took our rings but we were fanatical about always locking them up in the room safe before we went to the beach or pool. We would wear them out to dinner and such though. I had just read too many stories of Bees or others that lost them in the ocean/lake etc. and I didn’t want to worry! However, we did see plenty of couples who were wearing their rings out snorkeling, swimming and all that. So it’s up to you, but I know I felt safer with them locked up!

I wore mine. We went on a cruise and I was worried about it, so I asked my Mother-In-Law (it’s a family ring so she had it before me) what she did, and she always wore it. That made me feel better.

Hey! Honeymoon twin!! I am going to Negril, Jamaica too on Oct 16th!! yay!! I’m staying at Couples Swept away where are you staying?? But anyways……I think Fiance will be taking his wedding band, but I am not taking my Engagement Ring or wedding band since they will be soddered at the time, but I did buy a “stunt double” off of Amazon. A fake pretty much, but that way if I lose it I’m only out $20!

As long as you keep them on your you should be perfectly fine. I personally do not feel comfortable leaving my rings in the hotel room no matter where I am. And as long as they fit correctly they will not fall off.

If your rings fit correctly they shouldn’t fall off. I wear my ring everywhere, pool, ocean, it doesn’t matter. I could never imagine leaving them at home on my honeymoon.

i honeymooned in negril too! we stayed at couples swept away! and i wore my rings all week – except in the ocean…i put it in the safe in the room and it was fine. i was really good about taking it off in the beginning but i just spent a week with my in laws at the beach and i kept both on the whole week, in the ocean and everything no problems 🙂

P.S. Couples resorts are AMAZING! Negril is so beautiful! you guys will have so much fun!
