I wouldn’t see a need for it. I don’t think there was a big enough gap to worry.

I probably wouldn’t, but I might use a condom for the remainder of my cycle just to be on the safe side.

No, you won’t need it. Plan B is pretty much a waste if you are on BCP unless you miss multiple (as in more than 2-3 days)

@pictureaccount:  I wouldn’t worry too much.  I am horrible with remembering my pills (I’ll sometimes forget to take them for a couple of days, and I almost never take them at the same time), so we usually use a condom (or he pulls out).  I did take Plan B once a couple of years ago because the condom broke and I was freaking out.  I don’t know if everyone reacts this way, but I felt like shit (mostly a lot of cramping) for about a day or so after taking it.  I wouldn’t take it again unless I was as panicked as I was when that happened.  It doesn’t sound as though you’d really need to take it (based on your original post).

@pictureaccount:  Nope. Don’t waste your money on Plan B. You will be just fine.

As long as it’s been 7 days since your last missed pill, you are totally fine! I freaked out recently (you can see my posting history if you want to see the details) and i read a lot of scientific journals about birth control use and risk of pregnancy. All of the papers said 1 missed pill of the combined pill above a certain hormone level (which it sounds like yours is if the info pack said 1 missed pill is fine) doesn’t even count as a missed pill event. Only 2 missed pills consecutively puts you at risk. However, the first week of your pack is actually the worst time to miss because it’s right after the hormone free week and it takes 7 days to establish a steady state of hormones in your system. However, one missed pill in the first week is totally fine and as long as this late pill was more than 7 days after that I wouldn’t worry. You might want to use condoms from here on out, and if you think you’ll freak out then you can get plan B but I don’t think you need it.

As long as you take it within 3 days, you’re fine. That’s how long it takes to get pregnant, but like PPs said, plan B is a waste of money if you’re on the pill.

I would, but that’s because I got pregnant taking the pill perfectly. I tend to be extra paranoid now!

I wouldn’t.  I miss or take pills late every once and a while and have been fine.  If you want to be extra safe because you really don’t want to get pregnant right now, there is no harm in taking Plan B but you only need to take within 72 hours of having intercourse.  If you haven’t had intercourse since you missed your pills, then just use a backup method like condoms for the rest of this pack.
